Caught in the lens

Storm’s up here !

I had the rare privilege of being offered a lift by my neighbour Rassie Erasmus the other day . Good grief , should we alert the media , what’s so special , well perhaps I don’t get to fly around in a Robertson 44 Helicopter every second day. He took a trip along the coast and valleys where I live,it was breath-taking to see what I take for granted, from a new dimension.

Absolutely beautiful , this place is not called “ The Garden Route “ for nothing , guess if I sell the bike ,farm and wife , I’ll still be a bit short to buy my own chopper , but what the hell I’m going to extra nice to Rassie from now on …….

Amazing pictures, but I am sure it will also be beautiful traveling on the bike.

  2. Stunning photograpy….I’ve lived and had my own business in Knysna for the past 23 years now, and I’m still in awe of the beauty of the Garden Route. Lucky me I get to appreciate it every day. Thank you for re-affirming that appreciation, with your aerial views, such a magnificent perspective….

      Hi Helen ,
Thank you for your feedback, have been back in Cape town for two months now and sad to say am still waiting for some inspiration to pull out the camera. The one thing I miss is the every day opportunity to take a photo that had a little merit on the Garden Route. Still a “countryboy” living in the city.

      • Where are you stuck in Cape Town that you had no inspiration to pull out your camera ? I’d have to be chained to a post to be stopped with mine, though I’m not in the city, but on False Bay.

      • Suitably humbled and chastened , I have rekindled by passion , after having my camera stolen , by someone known to me on top of it. I had a period of morning post leaving the Garden Route and being stifled by the concrete jungle that exists behind the Boerewors curtain ! But once again Canon and I are inseparable and a constant source of joy and frustration , no doubt occasioned by my status as the 3rd Worst Photographer in the World. Thank you for your comment and have a magic day.
